Hideyoshi cursed under his breath as he plastered his back against the stone marble pillar as bullets ricocheted off its surface. He quickly poked his head out to check and ducked back as soon as bullets began to fly again. A man was collapsed beside him, grasping his arm in pain as he tried to stop the flow of blood.
It was supposed to be an easy mission, a quick diplomatic task where all he needed to do was to escort and guard the dignitary to the assigned meeting place to list the terms of surrender and assimilation into the Force. But no, the stupid and puny little planet had to show one last bit of resistance, one last bit of defiance.
-
It all seemed to happen in a split second. One moment they were communicating peacefully as he was standing right behind the loud mouthed dignitary while he kept his eyes on guard. He felt apprehensive and his finger twitched as he glanced around the room. The room itself was circular with 8 giant beams of marble pillars rising around the center foyer where the meeting was taking place. The dignitaries sat in red velvet seats as they talked, a small table set before them with small snacks and drinks. The floor was made from expensive marble it seemed, and the entire room was laminated by the giant domed skylight above. The second level was draped with red velvet and swayed in a small breeze from time to time.
It was then that Hideyoshi knew something wasn’t right. When he walked into the room there was a waft of air that brushed his face, meaning that this room wasn’t ventilated. There should be no breeze to move those drapes…
-
Now here he was, being shot at by at least 3 dozen idiots with guns with the glimmer of hope in their eyes, but of course it was a glimmer that Hideyoshi was more than willing to extinguish. But alas there was the issue of the idiot dignitary beside him which seemed to be at the moment crying. The blood seemed to have stopped and he was shaking as he looked up at Hideyoshi with his pitiful tearful eyes.
These people were all talk…
With a small sigh Hideyoshi quickly darted out to take a few shots, his two weapons ringing out as they took 4 idiots that weren’t under cover. Ducking behind the next pillar the Fate glanced over to the dignitary before raising his gun to shoot an assailant coming around the pillar after the dignitary.
With his heart pumping, Hideyoshi quickly Blinked back to the idiot and grabbed his arm and quickly pulled him over his short frame. He quickly spoke into the microphone that was tied in his collar, “This is Fate Tensenryou, requesting immediate Evac for Dignitary Foreman. He’s injured and we are taking heavy fire…”

Having been assigned as Overwatch for The Fate and his dignitary companion as they attempted to bargain with this lot, Marco could now say without a shadow of a doubt that he was NOT doing his job. Though in all fairness, being accosted by three soldiers, two with assault rifles, and one with a knife, did make it hard for him to cover his superior officer effectively. He had been positioned on a hill with an anti-material rifle not for from where The Fate was doing business, though obviously not far enough to avoid patrols. Luckily he was not looking down the scope at the moment that the knife-man's shadow draped around him like a blanket. Luckily his hand had been instinctively gripping the handle of his saber. Luckily he had been sitting up instead of lying on his belly.
Yes it seemed to be a lucky day for Warden Marco Muhammad Mavros, though not lucky enough to keep him from being shot several times in the sternum and arms, but we'll get to that part in a minute. First he blocked the downward knife thrust with the hilt of his sword. Bending his arm awkwardly behind his back, he positioned the hostile between himself and the enemy's guns. Reaching for his pistol was the wrong move because they opened fire, regardless of their companion's safety.
Marco's Rakelan physiology kept him relatively safe from the bullets, though they would leave nasty bruises and broken bones, but the same could not be said for the human hostage, who went down hard. Marco went limp and fell on his back, waiting for his opponents to walk over and check his vitals. Subtly he gripped his pistol and sword, and as the two stood over him, he brought his knees to his chest, put both his hands next to his ears, and kipped-up onto his unsuspecting adversaries, booting them both in the chest and landing on top of them both. Suddenly atop them both, he shot the gun in his left hand and swung his sword with the other. It was only after his battle had been concluded though, that Marco took note of the loud voice in his ear.

Sheathing his weapons, he dropped to one knee and lifted the scope of his mounted gun to eye-level. Well this won't do at all! Thought the sniper as he surveyed the situation. The windows are too small and too spaced, I can barely see anything! He sent a blast through one of the tiny windows, and scored a hit on one of the mighty pillars that littered the room, sending it toppling down on the hostiles inside.
"Fate, this is Overwatch I cannot provide assistance until you move yourself and the dignitary into the open." Just as he finished speaking, he heard footsteps coming up from behind. "Ah nuts."

"Fate, this is Overwatch I cannot provide assistance until you move yourself and the dignitary into the open."
Move somewhere in the open?
He was kidding right?
Hideyoshi quickly glanced around and snapped two more shots, taking out two more men as they ducked their heads around their pillar. He took a deep breath and collected his surroundings. The only entrance into the place was to the right but it was already reinforced by at least 6 more men, this time they were armed with semi-automatic rifles. Perfect. More trigger happy idiots.
Hideyoshi adjusted his grip on the dignitary before cursing under his breath before sheathing his other gun and pulling out another. The silver twin barreled revolver that was obviously larger in size then the conventional revolver. He quickly checked the bullets before pointing it towards the far wall to his left, which should be leading out to an open field.
“Overwatch, this is Fate Tensenryou. I will bring the dignitary into open ground bearings 6.99. I will engage all hostiles in the immediate vicinity, guard him if you can…”
Pulling the trigger, the loud explosive shells blew a large hole into the far wall. Dust and rubble burst out onto the nicely cut grass outside. Grasping the injured man the Fate gritted his teeth as he Blinked out into the open. A long trail dust in his wake as pretty much flew through the newly created hole. Although he was sure the dignitary was able to handle the sudden acceleration, he wasn’t going to be able to handle the sudden stop.
Cursing inwardly, Hideyoshi dug his feet into the ground as he spun around and leaned forward to counter balance his deceleration. His feet dug into the grass and left a long trail of upturned earth as he finally slowed to a halt. Quickly dropping his current burden, Hideyoshi quickly raised his revolver and shot into the building once again, this time aiming for one of the pillars that supported the building. With another loud bang, the two large explosive shells flew through the air, leaving a small smoke trail from the barrel of the gun as they sailed through the air and twirled around each other before slamming into the pillar. The resulting explosion took out a few gunmen that were running towards the opening with the exploding debris and others with the shock of the impact itself.
Quickly holstering Destiny, Hideyoshi quickly redrew his main staple weapon and took a deep breath as he took up his stance, His left foot forward with his left arm straight and pointed down, the right foot bracing him as his right arm bent at the elbow so his hand is in front of his face with his gun pointed forward, but is held upside-down.
He spoke to the dignitary, “You really owe me a chocolate sundae after this…”

Marco was only able to make out a little of what the Fate said over the intercom because of the roaring machine guns spewing hot metal this way and that in his general direction. Peeking out of cover, he placed a bullet in two of his adversaries, then dropped back in before he could be riddled with bullets. "I'll see what I can do." He yelled into his intercom, "Just give me a second!" He tossed a flashbang grenade out over his shoulder, and then followed suit when he heard the appropriate popping noise, sword in hand.
He spiraled forwards, cutting deep into the first man's belly. Then he lunged forwards, past the second man, impaling his comrade through the heart. He withdrew his sword and swung it at the last man, who parried with the middle of his rifle. The gun was cut cleanly in two, but the blow was deflected and only grazed his leg. Before Marco could recover however, his enemy had drawn a combat knife in his right hand, and a pistol in his left. He aimed two shots but missed twice, and Marco kicked him in the wrist and sent his gun flying. He swung the knife and struck Marco on the cheek, sending up white-yellow sparks across his skin.
He jabbed at Marco's belly, but he side-stepped it and swung back. The soldier bent-backwards and dodged, then came back with a boot to the chest. Marco was flung crashing into his sniper rifle, and he and the gun were sent tumbling down the 40-foot steep incline. While falling, Marco managed pull out a detonator. He jammed his thumb on the big red button, and the explosives below his sniper camp sent the entire peak into a big ball of flames that could be seen for miles. The last thing Marco remembered before blacking out was weakly picking up his comm unit and mumbling "I-(cough)-may be late for that...last order..."
