The Majesty.
Lillie couldn’t understand why a place such as this would be called such a name. From her books she learned that the word ‘Majesty’ was associated with higher ranked people, gods and kings of sorts. But at this night club all that were there, were simple hoodlums and criminals, college girls with too much free time, drug addicts, pimps and their employees of the night. The music was thumping and it hurt her ears. Strange music that she had heard before, rave music, it was called if she remembered correctly. The smell here was not all that better either, scents of sweat, drugs and alcohol filled the air, making it stagnant and thick, leaving Lillie with a foul taste in her mouth.
But nevertheless, people here were full of life, excitement and at the same time fear. People were dancing around, bounding up and down to the music, waving their hands and arms in all directions, grinding their bodies with others and even swaying from side to side as they lost their minds to the sound. It was something that young genetic experiment couldn’t fully understand, something that she couldn’t relate to.
Leaning against the railing that overlooked the dance floor below, Lillie could feel her hips swaying to the music as she peered into the crowd. The others should be here soon, but she was still not sure how to treat the people she is supposed to work with. Her father said to play nice, but what that meant she wasn’t quite sure, Bernard did have times when he said one thing but meant the other. Perhaps this was a way for her to be able to socialize like her father told her to. ‘To avoid loss of resources’ Lillie quoted in her head.
With arms resting on the railing she watched the action below, her red hair hanging freely of her scalp and framing her innocent face. She had to wonder what mission she was supposed to carry out here, but the person that was supposed to meet her here was going to tell her.
