Chapter 1:
F – FORCE
A – Agent
T - Tactical
E - Enforcer
The cold gripped his body like a vice on wood, its teeth slowly crushing its victim, slowly drawing out its last breath. Blowing into his gloved hands the Fate fought off the cold as best as he could as he glanced down at the small compound at the bottom of the mountain. A small building that was heavily guarded by the military of this small world, a world that seemed to think it was big enough to defy and rebel against the Force. Although it was a petty rebellion, it was a rebellion nevertheless, and all those that rebel against the Force needs to be crushed. The thought brought a small smile to crease his lips.
“What are we up against?” The voice came from behind him, and it was a voice that he rather not hear. With the sound of crunching snow another figure loomed over him as she peered through a pair of binoculars to the small compound. Her blonde hair fluttered in the raging arctic wind as she refused to wear the proper headgear, only because he refused to, “I don’t know why they made me partner with you. You’re a rookie Fate so don’t screw this up! I’ll seriously murder you if you do…”
“Mmmmhmmm,” Was all that the Shitoki muttered as he stood up and removed his gloves, exposing his bare hands to the biting cold. He needed his hands to be bare to use his guns properly, and with this cold this was going to prove to be difficult. He glanced over to shoulder to notice his partner already getting her own weapon ready and he simple nodded as he took down the mountain first.
The slope was icy so he didn’t dare use his Blink ability just yet, but the trail of loose snow behind him was going to be clearly visible to the enemy before him. Quickly reaching to his leg he pulled out his large twin-barrel revolver. He aimed it towards a large mound of snow before him before pulling the trigger. The bang echoed through the small valley, but the thundering roar of the explosion blasted the snow, releasing the monster of all snow, the avalanche.
Hideyoshi smiled to himself as holstered his weapon again as he slid down the slope in the wake of the avalanche, and quickly glancing behind him he noticed Rejan behind him on a board. He frowned a bit at the thought of using a board instead of sliding down but then again he needed his feet to be free for him to fight in an instant.
Soon the sound of a siren filled the air as the base began to react to the incoming danger, but it was too late for them as the snow crashed into their western wall, the snow breaking apart bits of the wall and completely enveloping it, which made it easier for the two Fates to infiltrate. Hideyoshi was the first to arrive as he slid off the snow and pulled both guns from his back in midair, he noticed a total of 5 soldiers scrambling for their weapons in the middle of the open base, another 6 were running for the slowly closing cargo bay doors.
The Shitoki fate quickly aimed his guns and fired two quick shots at the closest two, and just as two streams of blood flew out of their heads, Hideyoshi landed on the platform and using his quick movement he twisted his arms behind him to put two bullets into the two behind him. He noticed that Rejan was taking care of the six that were running for the door with her gloc, leaving him to handle the remaining two in the field. Simple enough, he thought as he raced forward in a mad dash to beat the two before they were able to fire their weapons, and with two more shots the snow behind the two slowly turned red.
The first deed was done, and as the dead bodies stained the pure white snow red, Hideyoshi simple walked away. The sky of this world seemed to weep for its children, as the wind softened to let snow drift from the sky like frozen tears, blanketing the corpses in a soft white cover. It could possibly because they were in the bottom of the valley, but for some reason, the Shitoki Fate couldn’t help to feel as if the planet was reacting to what they were doing. Raising his gaze into the cloudy sky he contemplated the thought before walking towards the doors, which have halted their closure due to his partner.
Rejan was already taking care of the small number of guards inside. The sounds of gasping, choking, and gagging throats filled the cargo hold as the blonde Fate simply smiled as she sucked the oxygen out of the air. She noticed her partner waiting at the door in the cold, he knew better than to walk into the area where she was using her powers. She could make him wait out their a bit longer, to suffer in the freezing air. She waited a few minutes after the last of the struggling had ceased before turning her head towards the door where the Asian gun smith stood, “Coming?”
Taking a quick sniff of the air the Fate decided it was safe before walking into the cargo hold, the blast of warm air was a welcoming feeling to his hands as the cold seemed to be sucked out as he entered. He avoided eye contact with Rejan as he walked past her, although they were both Fates of the Force she wanted to push him around like she was better. It didn’t matter in the end for him, all he was here to do was the will of the All-Marshal that had sent him, which was to place an example by eradicating a base of operations for this world.
Gunfire echoed through the metal hallways, as the two fates made their way through the base. Hideyoshi took the lead, moving fast through the gunfire and returning the favor with his own. His shots flew through the air and hit their marks, painting the walls with blood. Rejan plastered her back to the wall around the corner to peer around the corner, only to duck back quickly as the corner was peppered with gunfire. She shot a glare to the Shitoki beside her, “A total of 12 are stationed themselves in front of a door, most likely the control room of the facility. I saw a few shallow doorways, 3 in total. I’m sure they are hiding in them for cover…”
Reloading his weapons Hideyoshi just tossed a glanced over to the blonde before taking one quick breath before running around the corner. He quickly used his blink ability as soon as he heard the start of the gunfire. The area quickly turned into a blur as his speed increased dramatically, to him he could see his target clearly, but to them all they would be able to see is a flicker. Releasing a bit of energy he slowed himself before launching himself in the air, through the first layer of bullets as they sizzled by his body. Twisting his body in mid air he avoided two more bullets as they flew past his cheeks and down to follow his spine and chest.
There were two men on either side of the hall were in awe as they glared down the barrels of Hideyoshi’s Stark handguns, and the muzzle fire was the last thing they saw.
Forcing his legs to flip above him, Hideyoshi landed in the midst of the armed soldiers. He crossed his arms to fire at the first two before twisting his arms around to fire at the two that raised their weapons behind him. The next two were right beside him, scrambling to reload their weapons only to get a bullet through the head. Twisting on his heels he dropped to a crouch as two shots sailed over his head and aiming back in front of him he quickly tapped his triggers twice, sending four bullets towards the last of the soldiers, hitting all but the last two in the head.
The last two collapsed to the floor, grasping their chests where their liquid life oozed through their fingers. He had already dropped their weapons and slowly tried to crawl and claw their way to the final door. But the sound of cold footsteps seemed to resonate in the now quiet hallway, slowly creeping closer to them. They both glanced up to the emotionless eyes that stared down at them, fear had already mounted into their hearts when they were told that there were Force members that had infiltrated the base, but now it was shear terror that had gripped them, “P-please… you win… we won’t defy the Force…”
“Hmmm?” Hideyoshi watched as the two men tried to grasp their lives within their hands, their bleeding chest wounds obviously survivable but severe. He could see the fear in their eyes and the apprehension in their voice, but he had his orders, “You should’ve thought of that before…”
The screams that erupted were quickly silenced with two sharp gunshots.
The cold air crept through the hallways of the small military base, frosting over the glass like moss on a dead tree. Little fingers of cold ice clawing their way over metal and concrete surfaces as the arctic breath wafted through the open cargo bay doors. A low fog slithered over the dead bodies, engulfing them into their freezing body as it followed along the dead hallways. Bodies lay where they fell, blood painted on the walls and freezing to the floor as the temperature dropped in the base.
The sound of rapid clicks of someone typing on a keyboard resonated through the metal corridors, passing over the deaf ears of the dead, of the ones that were once its protectors. In the control room Hideyoshi downloaded all the essensial files of the base and the confidential information they were trying to protect. A body was laying on the floor beside him with a large hole through his skull, the idiot tried to delete all the files before they broke through the door. Thankfully Rejan managed to choke the air suddenly enough to stun all the people in the room long enough for him to shoot them.
Rejan kept an eye on the security monitor with her arms crossed, she had her gloc ready in one hand as she tapped her foot with a bit of irritability. She shot the Shitoki a quick glare, “Are you nearly finished? Our pick up is in 10 minutes, and I rather not be late for it.”
With a few more key clicks, Hideyoshi pulled the small data key from the slot placed it in his chest pocket as he stood up. He glanced over to the blonde before heading towards the door, quickly pulling out his gun as he did so.
Rejan raised an eyebrow as she watch him pull his weapon, only to watch him aim it a closed door and pull the trigger twice. She paused to gaze into newly created holes and saw two soldiers with guns in their hands waiting for the opportunity to ambush the, of course they had a gaping hole where their one of their eyes should’ve been. With a small smirk she brushed her hair behind her ear, “You know, we killed everyone on this base…”
“So?”
“Just in case we we’re suppose to, I’m blaming you…” giving him a sweet smile, Rejan walked past him into the hallway and instantly shivered, “Damn I can’t wait till I get off this planet. Its freezing!”
Watching the Fate disappearing into the maze of halls, Hideyoshi turned back to the room and drew his larger revolver. The large cyan blue and silver revolver clicked as he pulled back the hammer, bringing two fresh rounds into the chamber. The large bullets were explosive rounds and were powerful as small grenades. He raised Destiny to eye level and took aim to the main power grid computer, the one that controlled all the power cooling systems. Pulling the trigger the familiar crack and boom of his gun echoed and shook the air throughout the base as it blasted two giant craters where the computer was.
Returning his gun to its holster the Fate quickly chased after the blonde, their work here was done.
Sirens were sounding as the two Force Fates ran through the hallways, leaping over dead bodies and dodging falling rafters as the entire base began to rumble. An automated voice spoke over the speakers, ‘Critical failure in cooling systems of main power grid, please evacuate the premises. Repeat: Critical failure in the cooling systems of the main power grid. Total meltdown of central core unit in 1:32 Minutes, please evacuate…’
“What the Fuck did you DO?” Rejan snapped at Hideyoshi over her shoulder as she ran. She pulled out a small communication device out of her jacket as she leapt over another body, “This is Fate Zalixia, we need Immediate Evac. Quick drop and out required,”
‘understood Fate Zalixia, Transport inbound, be there in 15 seconds’
Placing the comm back into her pocket she shot another glare at the Shitoki before leaping through a closing doorway, “If we get in trouble for this I am SO blaming it on you…”
Hideyoshi quickly faded from sight and appeared instantaneously beside her, “Shut up and Run…” he kept his face stoic as they ran, and as they turned the corner they could hear the high pitch whine of the transport. From the crack in the doorway they could see the transport hovering just above the snow, blowing small icy daggers all around them. Shielding their eyes from the blasting current, both Fates made a mad dash towards the transport. There was a Warden with a hand out to help them in as they approached, and Rejan made no hesitation to grab the offered hand and climbed aboard, Hideyoshi quickly following suite.
With a quick nod to the pilot the transport’s engines began to whine louder as it took flight. The open door was little shelter to the cold as it rose higher and left the now burning and exploding base beneath them in ruins.
The wind billowed outside the closed doors as the transport left the burning mess behind them, Just as a plume of ash erupted from the base. The sounds of distant rumbles and small explosion echoed and reverberated through the metal hull. Rejan sat with a huff and quickly tried to warm her ears and face with her hands, shooting the occasional glare over to Hideyoshi as she did so. She blew into her frigid hands and tried to warm them as she shivered, and almost smiled as one of the Wardens offered her a blanket to warm her. Huddling into her new found warmth she took the opportunity to glance over to the other Fate, who had refused the blanket and was simply staring out the small window in the seat on the other side of the transport.
“Warden, how long will it be till we arrive to the off-world transport?” Rejan asked calmly as she continued to try and warm herself. It wasn’t comforting to know that the thin hull of the aircraft wasn’t good in keeping in heat, even as she spoke she could see her own breath.
The pilot turned his head to speak, “We’ll arrive in 4 minutes, were burned a lot of fuel for your evac…” a sudden tone filled the air and cut off the pilot as he checked his control board, “Shit…”
Rejan almost screamed as she reached out and grabbed the handrails as the transport suddenly lurched to the side, the engine whined loudly as they began to compensate for the sudden maneuver. She glanced out her window on her side and saw small trails of smoke that went past them, and under her breath she swore. Missiles. She glanced over to the small upper compartment where the warden had madly dashed up, and her suspicions were quickly answered as the sound of the twin machine guns filled the cabin.
“How many are there?” Rejan got up and stumbled towards the cockpit, and grabbed a firm hold on the chair and braced herself against the small corridor as she glanced over the pilot’s shoulder. The sensors only showed one ship on their tail, but that isn’t what made her frown, it was the type of ship, “A Cerceian Gunship?”
“I know… Why they are here I have no idea myself… but…” The pilot quickly pulled on his controls as he took the ship skyward in a sharp angle. Small streams of pulse fire could be seen sailing by from the cockpit window, “Our own gun isn’t strong enough to pierce through that gunship… and I don’t know if I can keep out maneuvering his fire.”
Rejan was trying to think of something in her mind just as she felt a gush of cold air envelop her body. She ignored the sudden drop in temperature and glanced back to the cabin where she saw Hideyoshi grasping a tether from the roof and pulling out one of his guns, he had already pulled one of the side doors open and was leaning out a bit. The wind that was entering through the door screamed at them as she tried to speak, “Hiyoshi… Yoshi! Your petty guns aren’t going to pierce through that armor! It’s a Cerceian Gunship!”
Hideyoshi had only one idea running through his head as he pulled out his weapon. The black streamline revolver with golden design was his pride and joy. He heard everything from the conversation between Rejan and the pilot, and judging by the swearing that came out of the gun turret, it was easy to tell that their own gun wasn’t doing much damage. The thought caused a smile to spread across his lips as he aimed his gun and peered down the iron sights, the gun ship behind them continued to fire at them, the sounds of their fire whistling by filled his ears.
The screaming wind, the whistling gun fire, the rattling sound of the gun turret all seemed to fade away to Hideyoshi. The sound seem to come to deaf ears as he aimed at the gunship behind them, and closing one eye he took in one deep breath of freezing air as he calmed himself. He began to hear his heartbeat within his chest, the low rumbling sound of his own heart was the telltale sign to him, “Scream… Agony.”
He pulled the trigger…
The sound of ‘Agony’ being fired cause Rejan to cover her ears. The high pitched scream and the sudden explosion of sound would cause anyone to cringe, but she glanced over to the other Fate to see his hand was bleeding and had already let his weapon go, which was thankfully tied to a small chain attached to his belt. She could see a Warden closing the cabin door and help the Shitoki to a seat before glancing over to her and mouthing something, “What!?” She yelled back but quickly realized the ringing in her ears, the words she spoke were muted and she cringed as she glanced back over to the pilot, who had managed to turn the ship around.
She faintly hear the words of ‘holy shit’ come from the pilot as they both stared at the falling gunship. The entire ship seemed to have a giant hole punched right through, its thick metal hull and framing was shredded to pieces as it fell down to its icy grave. After watching the remnants of the gunship fall into the depths of the icy valley she glanced back to Hideyoshi with a bit wonder in her eyes, ‘what the hell did he just fire?’
The rest of the flight went past smoothly as they returned to the off world transport, which was docked on a ridge on the other side of a mountain. Rejan slapped the side of her head to try and rid of the ringing in her ears as she stepped out the cabin of the flight transport. She cursed under her breath as she glanced at the pilot and the warden, who of which were doing the same. Hideyoshi however didn’t seem to bother as he hopped off and headed towards the door to the takeoff chambers. A small trail of blood droplets followed him as his hand was still bleeding, and as she looked a bit closer she could notice small tears along his hands and fingers. She could ask him what the hell happened later. She would need it for her full report to the All-Marshall.
The engines rumbled as the Fates and the others buckled into their seats, the Warden complaining about the ringing in his ears as he shot a few glances over to Hideyoshi who seemed to be ignoring him. That of course pissed the Warden off even more, as he started to grit his teeth and sit back with an irritated look, the same look a mosquito would have in a room full of mannequins.
Within a few minutes they were in space, and the sense of the artificial gravity began to kick in as the gravity changed into weightlessness. Out the view ports they could see the massive Force Ship that was in orbit around the planet, its golden hull and slender curves suited the All-Marshall that commanded it. As they rose to fly past the bow of the ship, the giant lettering of the ships name came into view, ‘Symphony’.
It was a common thing for an All-Marshall to have their own ship, and most of the time they are large capital ships like cruisers or even carriers. Even most Fates were given the privileged of having their own ships, although theirs would be a bit smaller versions, like frigates and destroyers. Rejan herself had a frigate that was currently docked with the Symphony, and although it pissed her off, Hideyoshi has one himself.
As the ship curved and slowed its approach, both Fates glanced into the hanger bay and almost instantly groaned at the small entourage that was there to meet them. The All-Marshall stood in front with a bunch of Warden’s behind her as the ship pulled into the bay, its hull passing through the thin field that kept the air within the ship. With the landing gears releasing and with a small bump the ship came to a halt, the cabin doors swinging open even before the ship stopped moving. Both fates leapt off, and promptly headed towards the All-Marshall. They offered her a full salute before standing at attention, speaking in unison as they did so, “Fates Reporting,”
“Your orders were specific was it not? Destroy the base of the usurpers, not to completely obliterate the entire populace of the base!” The small red headed All-Marshall threw her hands up in irritation before planting them firmly on her hips. She shot a firm glare at the two Fates for a few moments before taking a deep breath and awaited their reply.
“With all due respect All-Marshall Falkuin,” Rejan began as she took a step forward, “The base was destroyed as you asked, and we killed all those that stood in our way. The manner of how we destroyed the base was left in the hands of Fate Tensenryou…”
The All-Marshall’s piercing gaze quickly was cast upon the Shitoki Fate, who in turn was staring straight ahead with a calm face. With another twinge of irritation crawling up her skin she took a step in front of the Fate and took a deep breath, “Do you care to explain this Fate Tensenryou?”
“I was carrying out my duty as a Fate.” His reply was short and to the point. He didn’t move a muscle as she glared daggers into his face, he could feel the heat that was emanating from her body, if was from rage or embarrassment he couldn’t tell. But nevertheless it was a welcoming feeling considering the freezing atmosphere he was in before. But as he stood there he could sense that the All-Marshall was waiting for a deeper explanation, at least that’s what he thought by the way she crossed her arms and stared at him intently, “… it’s my duty to exterminate all those that dare defy the Force. They chose their own fates when they decided to stand up in defiance and betray the Force, and as such traitors of the Force shall not be tolerated.”
Letting out a sigh the All-Marshall just shook her head before turning towards the Wardens and signed a few papers before turning around at the two standing at full attention before her, “Fine. I’ll let this one go, and Fate Zalixia, your father has asked for your presence after your are done with this mission, You are dismissed.” She gave the blonde a quick nod as she ignored the small smug smile on the Fate’s face as she gave her a salute and began her walk towards the corridors. Turning her stern gaze back onto the other, Evaine took a step closer to him, and stretching up onto to her toes she made sure she got into his face, “As. For. You…”
Hideyoshi kept his eyes fixed on the far wall as her face got closer to his. The usual drain of flush of blood began to flood his face, and he audibly gulped. He started to feel a bit faint and a bit uncomfortable as she got her face into his, and as the blood rushed through his body he can feel the ache that he had been ignoring in his hand begin to throb. Blood began to drip down his fingertips and pool on the steel floor of the hanger bay, and even then he didn’t dare to move.
“As for you Fate Tensenryou, you are to accompany me to the surface to discuss the peaceful surrender of this planet. Is that clear?”
“Yes, My Lady,”
“Good,” Evaine lowered her stance and took a step back before glancing at his hand, a look of worry came over her as she snapped a glance back at the Fate, “What happened to your hand?”
“I can answer that All-Marshall,” It was the pilot from the on-world transport. He was still rubbing a finger in his ear as if to clear it of something. He approached the pair and gave a salute before standing at attention, “On our Evac of the Fates we were ambushed by a Cerceian Gunship. The Warden tried and return fire but our gun was no match for their armor and shields. The Fate pulled out a gun and with one shot was able to tear the freaking thing to pieces! It was amazing to watch All-Marshall, one moment we were being punched full of burning holes and the next the Gunship was falling out of the sky in a heap of a mess! The gun he fired was powerful indeed but it seemed to tear up his hand…”
“Enough.” Evaine glanced over to the pilot and nodded her head, “You are dismissed Initiate, and Fate Tensenryou. Go tend to your hand first, we’ll leave for the surface tomorrow morning at 0700 Hours.” With that said she turned and walked towards one of the corridors, quickly followed by the small entourage of Wardens. She glanced over her shoulder for a moment before walking past an Initiate on the way, who promptly saluted as she past.
Hideyoshi kept his pose until she was out of sight and let out his breath that he wasn’t aware of holding. Taking a deep breath he combed his fingers though his hair before turning to the Initiate that was running up to him. He glanced at his torn hand before walking towards the sick bay.
“Daaaaaamn! Did you see the ass on that All-Marshall?” The Initiate caught up to Hideyoshi and walked beside him as he glanced over his shoulder to the corridor that Evaine had disappeared to. He had dark skin and stood a bit taller than him, he was a bit more built than the Shitoki was, “You know Yoshi, I’m sure you have a thing for her… I know I do!”
“Marcus,” Hideyoshi glanced over to the Initiate with a stern glare, “She is an All-Marshall, show some respect. Besides why are you still here? I thought you only tagged along to see if you can get on Fate Zalixia’s good side. I thought I warned you that she is a bit restrictive with her relationships.”
“Also known as a she is a Bitch,” Another voice tuned into the conversation as another walked up between the two and wrapped his arms around the both of them. A small smile spread across his face, which was framed nicely with the neatly tripped goatee. With short wavy brown hair and a charming smile the person that had joined them laughed before turning to Marcus, “you know I wouldn’t get too near her if I were you. I hear that Warden Marcoux I having trouble getting out of her talons.”
Marcus scoffed as he rolled his large eyes and shrugged off the offending arm around his shoulders, “Man! Why do you have to cling to me like that! And for YOUR information, I would LOVE to have her talons claw all over my back if you know what I mean. She might be a bitch but she is one hot one! Rwaaaar!” With a clawing motion with his hands and the low growl was enough to make the two burst out in laughter.
After a few moments of laughter, Hideyoshi regained his composure and turned to the one that had joined them, “You have good timing Warden Goodfaith. I need my hand to be healed… think you can do it?” Hideyoshi lifted his hand for the Warden to take a look at, and winced as he took his hands to inspect. The Warden was an expert in the medical field and was one of the most trusted doctors among the Force. Of course Hideyoshi trusted him fully as well, considering that Hideyoshi, Goodfaith and even Marcus joined the Force at the same time a few years ago. They were placed on the same team as Initiates and always worked well together, and needless to say they have all become friends.
Goodfaith glanced over at the hand and shook his head as he clicked his tongue, a mild habit he does when he’s thinking. He let out a sigh before pushing the Fate towards the Medical bay, “I told you that you should stop using that gun! Even with the regenerative medications, your hand can’t take too much of these types of wounds. Every time you shoot that bloody thing you fracture the bones in your hand and tear ligaments! But I’ll patch you up like usual, so come on… Oh and Kalsi wanted to talk to you too. I told him we’ll meet up at your chambers later,”
“Why my chambers?” Hideyoshi asked as he walked into the bright lit Medical bay. The place was filled with a smell of sterilizers and medications. There were several beds located along the sides and a few of them were occupied. As he glanced around he noticed that Rejan was seated on one, with one of the Medical Wardens peering in some device that he placed in her ear. She noticed him and instantly sent him a glare, of which Hideyoshi simply ignored.
--
Following Hideyoshi’s gaze, Goodfaith glanced over to the other fate before smiling to himself. Shaking his head as he directed the Fate to the closest open medical bed. Patting on the white sheet he walked off to grab a device from behind a curtain before telling him to roll up his sleeve. The device he pulled up to the side of the bed was something that Hideyoshi has never seen before. It was a box with a screen and displays on the side with a large cylinder running horizontally along the top. The cylinder itself was large enough for an entire arm to fit into and it was already glowing with a strange green aura.
As he rolled up his arms, he eyed at the device suspiciously, “I’m guessing you’re not going to just sterilize the wound and stitch it up like usual.”
“How you figure?” The Warden said sarcastically as he filled a needle with a clear fluid before grabbing Hideyoshi’s arm and injecting him with it, “Its just something I was tinkering with. Since you seem to like tearing yourself up the most I decided to invent a device that will help your regeneration of your cells. Of course I’ve already tested this on other life forms but you’ll be the first ‘person’ that I will test this on.”
“I love how you use me as a guinea pig for your medical inventions…” Hideyoshi let out a small sigh as he let the doctor do as he wished. He trusted the Warden with his life and knew that he wouldn’t do anything rash, although the fact that he constantly loved to tinker and invent things worried him a bit. Alistar Goodfaith was a medical genius to many people, and his medical inventions have saved thousands if not millions of lives. He had already created many devices that enhanced the medical field for the Force, and this was another example of his brilliant medical mind at work.
“You know you enjoy it, besides this is something I thought of for you specifically. You seem to tear up your hands so much with that stupid gun,” Alistar pointed at the black revolved that was strapped to Hideyoshi’s hip with his eyes, and glanced up at the Fate with his all famous, ‘I told you so’ look.
“Hey! Agony isn’t a stupid gun… it’s a my pr-“ Hideyoshi hissed as Alistar grabbed his hands and dabbed it with a cloth soaked in a stinging sterilizer. Although the Fate resisted from showing his pain on his face, he couldn’t help but let out a small hiss as the doctor mercilessly dabbed his hand without a sense of remorse, “You’re doing that on purpose…”
“Of course!” Goodfaith admitted immediately as he side-glanced the Fate before placing his arm into the machine and switching it on, “Every time you tear yourself up, I’m the one that has to stitch you back together. It’s my way of saying, take care of yourself out there.”
“You heard the man Yoshi!” Marcus was leaning on the wall near the bed as he crossed his arms and watched his friend being patched up, “We know that your anti-social ass is always risking everything on a mission. You may not be afraid of dying and shit, but that ain’t no excuse to go and get yourself killed. And don’t give us the crap of being your duty to give your life for the lord and shit.”
Hideyoshi just sighed as he rolled his eyes and watched as the device began to glow a bit more brightly and emit a few beeps and tones before a low hum began to sound. He watched as a few pulsing beams crawled over his arms, and scanned his flesh. He glanced over his shoulder to the dark skinned Initiate, “You forget Marcus, that I was trained by my people to be a disposable tool for the Force. I have no regrets on what I do… besides if I don’t push myself to these extremities, how will I know my limits?”
“We’re not asking as comrades Hideyoshi,” Alistar walked behind a curtain and pulled something out a cabinet and returned with a small vial in his hand, “We’re asking you to be a bit more careful, because we’re your friends. So shut up you big baby and let papa inject you with some feel good shit…”
“Papa? Creeper…” Hideyoshi almost smiled as Alistar injected a pain suppressor into him. He instantly felt the stinging sensation of the frost bite fading away and the sharp stabbing pains of the torn hand disappearing. He inhaled deeply before stretching his neck, “Fine, we’ll meet at my chambers later. Why again?”
Alistar glanced up to Hideyoshi before turning his eyes to Marcus, both of which burst out in a wide mischievous grin. The glance between the two made the Fate a bit uncomfortable as he soon realized what this ‘meeting’ entailed.
“Training…” They both said in unison…
F – FORCE
